Children
There are four Play Areas:
- By Netherlee Hall in Linn Park Avenue - with parking,
- Near the Seil Drive entrance off Old castle Road: NO parking . . .
- Behind the Mansion House in the park: NO access by car - but a great place for adventurous kids.
- The Adventure Playground off Netherlee Road [Weekends only] - with plenty of parking.

There are a number of nearby shopping areas, namely
- Coftfoot Roundabout [Buses]
- Cathcart [Trains and Buses]
- Old Cathcart [Trains, Car parking in side roads]
- Netherlee [Buses, Car parking at Netherlee Hall, and Adventure Playground]
- Muirend [Trains and Buses]
A couple of notes for Dog Walkers .... there are only two important things to mention:
- First is PLEASE pick your dog's mess for several reasons - not least is it can cause blindness in children, and
- Second, PLEASE keep your dog under control: that is under control in other people's view, this includes:
- mother's of small children, and
- owners of small and or timid dogs.
And some notes for Bicyclists:
- Children act unpredictably. PLEASE keep your speed down - which to a reasonable person is less than 5 miles [8 kms] an hour,
- Children get frightened easily. PLEASE leave a good distance when you pass them. On a path less than 2.5 m wide. simply dismount and let them past.
Sometime around 2010, pup3ls at St Fillans School, under their teacher [whose name I have lost], arranged for someone [me - one of the Gents, and one of the members of the original Friends of Linn Park] to meet them at "The Beach" which had been subject of a grant to improve - viz create access to it.
A link to the beach project is on the Useful Links page. The project was for just under £50,000, and has certainly met its objective being: "This project will transform a neglected and seldom used area of Linn Park into an accessible site for the community."
